moving
back to joliet, a friend, chris, asked me to vocal
coach a girl he and a drummer, jay, were playing a
gig with. those guys were invited to play a fundraiser
outdoor acoustic musical festival in hebron, illinois
(near woodstock, ironically?) and they asked me to
sing. we got three (3!) other guitarists and slapped
together a couple sets of songs. i played bass to
keep the insanity in line. it was a great gig - camping
outdoors and playing on stage.
a few
weeks later we were invited to play another fundraiser
for hunger week (or something to that effect) at lewis
university. we stripped down to a four-piece electric
set (chris, george, jay and i) and played the gig.
it went pretty well too and those are the songs here.
chris
quit immediately after the last gig and it wasn't
right without him, so that was that. but this was
a fun band and the last time i played out live. i
enjoyed it - even the part where the woman moans when
we start strong enough - we changed her mind.
