In Production is an advanced level multimedia class focusing on three, main forms of media:

Web (HTML, Video and Audio)
Video/TV
Print

Students will have prior academic experience in at least one of those fields and will learn any others to be able to communicate news and information at an advanced level, relying on Mr. Janes' guidance and instruction but performing most tasks independently as a group or individual.

Projects include:

Weekly SCTV Newscast - Planned, reported, written, edited, saved and posted as a podcast to the USD 452 site and run on cable Channel 12
Film Studies
Video Projects
USD 452 website updates
USD 452 Desktop Publishing Tasks
USD 452 Teacher Recruitment DVD

Given the content and importance to the district and community, deadlines will be non-negotiable. If an assignment is not completed when due, that student will receive a zero. There are no late grades or extra credit.
