The Presentation
Use the links on the left for information you will need regarding the aspects of the Senior Projects Presentation.
Your advisors, the Senior Projects Committee members , Mrs. Parker and Mr. Janes know you should be asking them for guidance with this, so please do use them and all other resources in preparation.

If you need extra help, as we discussed in class, brush up on your public speaking skills from two years ago with the helpful information below:

Borrow (please do not take home) the blue speech books on the back shelves. You might have to share a few as there are not twelve.

You need to start reviewing public speaking in beginning to prepare for your presentation. You will work in-class with a partner or independently, depending on how many books there are. For now, you need to begin reading the following chapters:

  • Chapter 9 – Getting ready
  • Chapters 11, 12 & 13 – Wrap up prep. for speeches
  • Then you need to determine which kind of a presentation you think will best fit your project and paper. Review the appropriate chapter, independently, and Mr. Janes will help you individually when he returns next week:

  • Chapter 14 – The informative speech
  • Chapter 15 – The process speech
  • Chapter 16 – The persuasive speech
