Splice and Sound Project
· Create a new folder in your Video Production folder: Splice and Sound o All assets should be kept here. · You do NOT need a StoryBoard for this project. Really.
·
Splice ten (10) clips of yourself into a short video you find
online, o Use the Split Clip function (on Preview window, upper-right). · The resulting video ideally will have a different tone than the original. o For example, Mr. Janes’ original video is supposed to be serious. His edited version hopefully will be amusing as a result of his appearances. · You may use other actors, settings, etc. in your shots but you must appear in each. o You will need the tripod. · Mute all audio from both the original and your clips. o Use the Mute function (right-click over any clip’s audio track in the timeline). · You will add a new soundtrack that mixes at least two songs or audio assets such as music and narration. o Use Audacity to track, mix and export your soundtrack as an MP3. o You are allowed to use the original soundtrack but only as one asset in the final – You must add to it using Audacity. · The final video must be five (5) minutes minimum, seven (7) minutes maximum. o Editing will be precise because the final video must flow, not appear suddenly cut off. A suggestion is to cut from the “inside” of the original rather than the head or tail. · Save the movie as usual, WMV, default settings, to your Splice and Sound folder as: spliceandsound · Preview your final video and note below according to the timeline exactly when your ten clips appear. (just write the minute and seconds like this: 1:28) |
